At Pandora, we’re driven to support independent artists and help them engage with their fans. The Independent Artist Submissions tool exists to provide self-releasing, independent artists a path to make their music and comedy available to Pandora’s listeners.

WHEN TO USE INDEPENDENT ARTIST SUBMISSIONS

If you are an artist looking to make your music available on Pandora, you can use Independent Artist Submissions to submit your releases and prioritize your music for analysis by our team of curators.

All submissions must first be distributed to Pandora via a digital aggregator (e.g. Tunecore, Distrokid, CD Baby etc.) so that they are delivered with the necessary licenses and information.  

Before submitting your release, please confirm with your distributor that:

1. Pandora was selected when the release was distributed.

2. U.S. streaming rights were granted to Pandora.

3. The release is not a pre-release (i.e. submissions must have already been released).

IMPACT OF INDEPENDENT ARTIST SUBMISSIONS

The Independent Artist Submissions tool helps artists grow their fanbase by ensuring their music is streaming on Pandora.

Submissions made through this tool are reviewed by Pandora’s curation team for music analysis and – once approved – will be available for streaming on Pandora. These releases can also be considered for inclusion in Pandora’s official programs, helping artists reach new listeners and strengthen their fanbase.
